As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded in business operations, Indian enterprises are ramping up investments in workforce training to prepare employees for the next phase of AI-driven transformation. According to the latest edForce Enterprise Learning Report FY2025-26, Agentic AI has emerged as the fastest-growing learning category, reflecting a shift from AI experimentation to enterprise-scale deployment.
The report reveals that enrollments in Agentic AI training programs nearly doubled during the year, reaching 57,536 learners. The surge highlights growing demand for skills related to developing, deploying, and managing autonomous AI systems capable of executing tasks and making decisions with minimal human intervention.
Industry experts believe the trend signals that organizations are moving beyond pilot projects and focusing on building internal capabilities that can support large-scale AI adoption. As businesses increasingly integrate AI agents into their workflows, demand for specialized knowledge in AI orchestration, automation, governance, and system management continues to rise.
Beyond Agentic AI, the report also identified strong growth in several technology domains that serve as the foundation for AI implementation. Cloud Computing training recorded a 29% increase, reaching 41,876 learners, while DevOps training grew by 26% to 31,211 learners. These skills are essential for building, deploying, and maintaining AI-powered applications across modern enterprise environments.
Cybersecurity emerged as another major focus area, with learner participation increasing by 39% to 25,448 professionals. The growth reflects rising concerns around securing digital infrastructure, protecting enterprise data, and managing risks associated with AI-driven operations. As organizations expand their use of autonomous technologies, cybersecurity expertise is becoming increasingly critical.
The report also found that certification-based learning continues to gain momentum. The number of certifications earned during the year increased by 36%, reaching 38,562 certifications, indicating that organizations are placing greater emphasis on validating workforce skills through industry-recognized credentials.
Leadership development was identified as the second-fastest growing learning category. Enrollment in leadership training programs rose by 46%, reaching 11,965 learners. This trend suggests that organizations are not only preparing technical teams for AI adoption but are also equipping business leaders with the knowledge required to guide digital transformation initiatives and manage organizational change.
Commenting on the findings, Ravi Kaklasaria, Co-Founder and CEO of edForce, noted that enterprise learning is becoming increasingly outcome-driven. According to Kaklasaria, the strong growth across Agentic AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, certifications, and leadership training reflects organizations’ efforts to build capabilities that directly support business transformation and AI adoption.
The findings indicate that enterprises now view AI as more than a standalone technology initiative. Instead, companies are adopting a holistic transformation strategy that combines AI skills development with investments in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, deployment capabilities, leadership training, and continuous learning programs.
As Agentic AI continues to reshape industries, workforce readiness is emerging as a key competitive advantage. Organizations that invest in upskilling employees today are likely to be better positioned to harness the full potential of AI-driven innovation in the years ahead.
