BharatPe has launched an agentic AI solution for merchants and businesses, powered by Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, taking its AI capabilities beyond conversational support toward task execution.
Integrated into the BharatPe for Business app, the new AI assistant is designed to understand a merchant’s business, products and previous interactions before responding or taking action. It can connect with more than 60 live systems in real time, enabling it to handle tasks rather than simply provide information.
The assistant combines voice and chat in a single interface and supports Hindi, English, Hinglish and regional languages. Merchants can use it for issues such as complaints and chargebacks, while the system can also recommend relevant financial products, including Credit Card on UPI, loans and POS services.
A key differentiator is its ability to use screen activity, interaction history and previous support tickets to deliver more contextual assistance. This allows the AI to understand the merchant’s situation and execute tasks without requiring users to navigate traditional IVR systems, wait for support callbacks or repeatedly explain their issue.
BharatPe CEO Nalin Negi said the company sees AI as a way to make financial services more intuitive and responsive. The company is positioning the new platform as a move from AI that simply answers questions to AI that helps merchants complete tasks.
Why This Matters
BharatPe’s launch reflects a broader shift in enterprise AI—from chatbots and copilots toward autonomous, action-oriented agents.
The ability to connect an AI agent with dozens of live enterprise systems is particularly important because it allows the technology to move from:
Ask → Answer
to:
Understand → Decide → Act → Complete
This is also consistent with Google’s broader positioning of Gemini Enterprise as a platform for developing, orchestrating and governing agents capable of executing complex, multi-step workflows
